Mélanie Dubois

Mélanie Dubois is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with 18 years of clinical practice in Montreal, passionate about preventive care and patient education. She serves as a clinical instructor and specializes in periodontal maintenance and individualized home care protocols.

A graduate of Collège de Maisonneuve’s dental hygiene program, Mélanie has dedicated her career to the "soft skills" of dentistry: coaching patients on behavioral changes to arrest disease. She has extensive experience working with phobic patients and utilizes anxiety-reduction techniques during hygiene appointments. Her expertise covers the nuances of mechanical plaque control, the chemistry of oral rinses, and the specific needs of patients with orthodontic appliances or implants. Through her articles, she empowers patients to understand the "why" behind their bleeding gums and how to navigate the aisle of dental products effectively. She is a proud member of the Ordre des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec (OHDQ).
